History
My family heritage is extremely diverse: my maternal grandmother was Japanese/Peruvian, and my grandfather was Chinese. On my father's side, my grandmother was born in Iquitos, a vibrant city located in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon rainforest. Rooted in nature, they all valued a simple and joyful life that also involved hard work and effort.
Although the term “mestizo” often denotes mixed ethnic ancestry, I seek to redefine it with MESTIZA as a celebration of diversity, a fusion of ideas, identities and origins that enrich our perception of life. I seek to embrace Latin American culture, embodying the persistence, passion, flavor and joy that characterizes us.
MESTIZA is reflected not only in the brand's aesthetics, but also in its manufacturing processes. Each piece is made by Peruvian artisans, combining traditional manual techniques with advanced technology. By combining materials and finishes, I aspire to unite the modern and the ancestral, creating jewelry that transcends borders and languages.
